The Centre

The Institution is registered to accommodate 84 children and youth. The ages of the children range from 3 to 18 years for girls and 3 to 12 years for boys. Our secondary service is aimed at providing a range of non-residential services for children and families to improve their quality of life in order to minimize the need for residential care.

They reside in cozy cottages that resemble an actual Home environment with a trained Child and youth care worker. In the boys cottage however, there are 2 child care workers per shift to manage the demanding and strenuous task of working with little boys.

At the Home, we strive to ensure a nurturing and protected environment for our children. They are accommodated in 6 cottages up to a maximum of 15 children per cottage resembling a large family setting. Child Care Staff are employed to care for the children and work on a shift basis in the cottages. They supervise and guide the children in all aspects of their lives and work developmentally in the life space of the child.

Every child attends either a nursery, play, or mainstream school in the area to ensure that their educational needs are met. A structured homework programme is in place daily from 16:00 until 17:15pm.
