This past weekend, we commemorated 130 years of dedicated service to vulnerable children - a milestone that highlighted the organisation's enduring legacy and ongoing commitment to care, growth, and community.

The anniversary celebration brought together past and present beneficiaries, staff, donors, and community members to honour more than a century of transforming young lives. The event was a resounding success, filled with heartfelt stories and reflections on the home's remarkable journey from humble beginnings to a modern, holistic centre of child development and support.

Speakers paid tribute to the generations of caregivers and supporters who have helped shape the home into a trusted haven for children in need.

Director, Althea Govender expressed gratitude to all who have contributed over the years, noting, "It is an honour to continue the mission of St. Monica's Children's Home."

The celebration reaffirmed the organisation's vital role in the community and set a hopeful tone for the future - a future rooted in compassion, resilience, and 130 years of making a difference in the lives of our vulnerable children.
